Comprehension – Sequencing activity: Begin by discussing the life cycle of a butterfly with students. Explain the stages: egg, caterpillar (larva), pupa (chrysalis), and adult butterfly.
– Have students draw or create a visual representation for each stage of the butterfly’s life cycle on separate pieces of paper.
– Once they have their drawings, ask them to cut them out (if using scissors) and arrange them in the correct sequence.
– After arranging, students can present their sequences to the class, explaining each stage and its significance.
