Identify the lines of Symmetry
First determine if the shape has any lines of symmetry. Imagine the shape is folded along a line that makes the image into two equal parts.
On a sheet, if they were folded, the equal parts would overlap. The parts are symmetrical. This is the first line of symmetry.
The line of symmetry is drawn broken. Sometimes, a shape has more than one line of symmetry.
Be careful where you draw your line symmetry.
Identify the plants or animals below with lines of symmetry. Then determine the number of lines of symmetry.
