Your personal hygiene is important. You bathe, wash your hands, and brush your teeth so keep clean and stay healthy.
Everyday you come in contact with germs and viruses. They can linger on your body, and sometimes make you sick. Personal hygiene practices help you prevent the illnesses you can get from germs and viruses. You feel and look good when you practice personal hygiene.
The are certain behaviours that help us improve cleanliness and can lead to good health. Practicing personal hygiene becomes easier when there is clean water and soap. It is especially difficult when there is lack of water.
We need water for keeping clean. Water is used in hospitals, farms, businesses, in our homes. If we reduce the amount of water we use, we can guard against any water shortages or droughts in the future.
