Question 1: Find the total of 4 hrs 20 min. and 3 hrs and 45 min.
Start adding from the right. Notice you have gotten a total of 65 min. in the minutes side. Remembering that 60 minutes is equal to 1 hour. You then minus the 60 minutes from the amount of minutes. The 60 minutes is the hour you will add to the hours side. See the workings below. The Answer is 8 hours and 5 minutes. This is your regrouping of the minutes and hours.
Question 2: Calculate the difference between 3 hr. 25 min. and 1 hr. 45 min.
