Activity 1: Make a paper clock.
Have a discussion with your parents about what happens to the big hand as the little hand goes from one hour to the next. Example: When the big hand is at 12, the hour hand is pointing exactly to a number. What happens when the hour hand is halfway past a number? Where is it? Cover the minute hand now and then on a real clock and try to guess where the minute minute hand is.
Remember: The short hand movers from one number to the next number in one hour.
