What do you really want in life?
Most people don’t discover what they want in life until it’s time to die – and that’s a shame.
Most people spend the best years of their lives too much watching television or doing things they dislike. Benjamin Franklin once described humanity by saying,
“Many people die at twenty five and aren’t buried until they are seventy five”
Are you one of the living zombies? Zombies go through the daily routines without any excitement or enjoyment in what they do. Their life seems meaningless. Unfortunately, many people go through life without realizing that that they are living life like a zombie. You were not given the breath of life to waste it away doing nothing purposeful, or meaningful. That is how we leave our legacy. We are here to help make this world a better place , not just for ourselves but for humanity.
There are always lots of sign around you telling you that your life can be better. Here are some telling signs that you need purpose in your life.
- Don’t feel there is a purpose to your life.
- Feel alone and disconnected from others.
- Are your own enemy. You talk yourself down from doing things that would make you feel like someone.
- Feel lethargic all the time.
- Don’t have a passion or a hobby.
- Feel over-worked.
- Drink too much alcohol.
- Have an obsessive compulsion.
- Are always angry.
- Hate people and find yourself continuously judging them.
- Hardly laugh or find time to have fun.
- Don’t express yourself.
- Are indifferent to the people and things around you.
The list can be long. But, I think you have gotten the idea. Ask yourself this question: What do I really want in life? And then move from there.
Some people struggle in answering such a question. When asked what they want or what their goals in life are, many are unsure. They dillydally in their decision, hardly giving any thought about what they want in life. People without definite goals are letting time pass them by. Are you one of these people?
